Jen Adas
THE BEGINNING
Drawing became one of Jen’s favorite hobbies growing up and eventually, she decided that she would like to pursue a career that focused on creativity. After graduating from Central Michigan University, she attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and was introduced to many new artistic mediums. This helped set the stage for “Pet Portraits by Jen” which started from a tragedy on the worst day of her life and ended with a blessing. Jen’s dog, Makena, unexpectedly died from cancer and she wanted to do something special to honor her incredible life. Jennifer created a pet portrait of her best friend and as she shared it with others Jen was encouraged to do animal portraits professionally.
Jen enjoys giving back to people who want to honor their special living pets and also aids pet parents in transforming their sadness into a beautiful creation. After Jen’s’ past customers received their portraits they have expressed feelings of having a piece of their beloved family member back. Jen is honored and humbled, that she is entrusted to capture the beauty, and goofiness of their treasured kin.
